We are traveling and living and working in a 1997 Safari Serengeti, 37ft Class A Diesel Pusher motorhome with a 2005 Honda Element LX “toad” (towed car) attached (using a Blu Ox tow bar and a Roadmaster InvisiBrake supplemental braking system).
The motorhome has a very reliable 300hp CAT Diesel Engine, a 6-speed Allison Transmission, a virtually maintenance free suspension system (torsion bar), no slide-outs (so nothing to break or leak there), spacious interior layout (despite the lack of slides), plenty of basement storage, a built in washer/dryer combo (a must for full timing) and a good space for Chris’ studio work area.
She (vessels of this kind have to have a female personality 😉 ) has almost 100k miles, which is not a lot for a diesel pusher and will hopefully serve us well in the next few years and beyond. We named her “Mel” and the toad’s name is Menty.
